The Yorkshire Terrier has been bred in Great Britain for more than 100 years, originally as a small hunting dog, which is why the instinct is still carried on in their genes. Its physical appearance and upright posture indicate their top dog personality, and they are quick to win you over with their charm, energy and devotion to you as their owner. Their bold and inquisitive nature may create challenging situations when communicating with other, larger dogs.
Being easy to raise and socialise, as well as to train desired behaviours thanks to their intelligence, makes them one of the most popular small breeds, which is the happiest when it is showered with attention by its owner.
Their delicate, silky coat, which runs down the back and flows to the floor on both sides, requires daily grooming, so that it could truly dazzle, while the hair on their head should be put in a ponytail to keep it from getting dirty during feeding time and to expand the dog's visual field.
This is an extra small breed that weighs up to 4 kg.
